apple was very centrally located. close to the bukit bintang monorail station and only a 20 min walk from petronas towers. the staff was very helpful and answered all our questions happily. when the hotel is busy checking in early is not an option. we arrived around 8am which was way too early to check in so we had to store our bags and occupy ourselves until 2pm. the room was clean but extremely tiny. there wasn’t really even room to walk around the bed. no shelves or places to keep your things. that being said, the bed was really comfortable (best sleep in a while) and even though our room faced the busy street, we didn’t hear much of the noise. the room would benefit from a having a shelf or ledge to store your things and i would avoid getting a taxi if you need to go to the airport in the middle of night as we had to. our driver almost fell asleep at the wheel…terrifying! if back in kl, i would choose the apple again for the convenience and price.
Restaurant Tip: The street Thai food place just outside and to the left of the Apple was cheap and very yummy. We ate there twice! When you get out to the BB plaza, the First Cup coffee shop before you arrive at Starbucks had great service, decent coffee, and delicious breakfast. We ate there every morning before sightseeing. Go to the Batu Caves! A bit of a trek to get there but the subway station is directly outside the entrance and the caves are worth the trip! Eat at one of the little food shops….we got the set menu plate which is vegetarian and comes on a huge banana leaf. Cost less then 5 bucks for the two of us!
